In 1979, the Israel-Egypt peace treaty was signed between the two countries. On the envelopes of the first day of peace that were issued by the Israel Postal Service to mark the historic event, some of the finest Israel’s artists painted their feelings and hopes concerning the long-awaited peace.
That was the first step in a project of global reach. This was the core that launched a long-term and wide-ranging venture: presentation of the peace collection worldwide.
