“Artists Messengers of Peace” is an assortment of art works revolving around the subject of the need for tolerance and understanding between nations. This art collection was founded by the late Dvora Fischer and Dr. Eli Fischer, her husband, the founders of Fischer Pharmaceuticals Ltd, who decided to initiate an art and education project to demonstrate the danger of war and the constant need for peace and harmony amongst nations. The participating artists are from Israel and around the globe.

The first part of the art collection was created following the signing of the peace treaty between Israel and Egypt in the late seventies (1979). On the envelopes of peace that were issued by the Israel Postal Service to mark the historic event, the artists painted their feelings and hopes concerning the long-awaited peace.

After several years with the signing of the peace treaty with Jordan (1994), several hundred designed envelopes were added to the collection; this time, the additions to the collection included both works by artists from Israel and from many countries around the world.

In 2020 the project, inspired by The Abraham Accords which are a joint statement between the State of Israel, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States, includes more than 100 artists who also created their work on envelopes on which the flags and symbols of the United Arab Emirates and Israel are printed. Both birds, which symbolize the two nations, are giving each other olive branches – a universal sign of peace.

The collection of paintings and sculptures has been showcased throughout the world, at leading museums, and in a book awarded to many leaders from across the globe. At each location at which the exhibit was presented a grand opening celebrating the event was held and attended by ambassadors from Israel, Egypt, Jordan and the Palestinian Authority

The collection “Children Messengers of Peace,” an additional initiative by the Fischer Family, includes thousands of pictures sent by children from all over the world, expressing the response to the fear of war and the hopes and dreams of peace. The collection was presented successfully at the Tel Aviv Museum Library and used to outline educational workshop activities on the subject of peace. Presently, most of the collection has been donated to numerous children wards in hospitals across Israel.

Works of art from the Peace Art Collection have been donated to various groups and exhibitions and illustrate the longing for peace and the need for understanding amongst nations. Artwork directly brings hope and yearning for more peaceful days of peace and prosperity.
