The “Artists Messengers of Peace” art collection is a selection of works touching upon the need for tolerance and understanding among nations. The art collection was created by the late Dvora Fischer and her husband, Dr. Eli Fischer.  They decided to initiate an art and education project to reflect the dangers of war and the perpetual need for peace and harmony.
The collection deals with issues related to war and its consequences. Many artists refer to the fragility of the peace treaties and the imminent danger of a sudden change in the power balance and a return to destruction and loss of life. Others ignore the dangers and choose symbolic signs and motifs that represent coexistence and cooperation among the nations. The collection contains hundreds of paintings on first-day envelopes alongside paintings and sculptures in various styles and dimensions, purchased over the years—all on the theme of war and peace.
