This Chilean-Israeli “Artists Messengers of Peace” exhibition was curated by Mariana Kaplun at Montecarmelo Cultural Center’s Cordillera Gall in Santiago, Chile and first appeared as part of the Latin America Maccabiah opening event. It honors Santiago’s 2015 Maccabiah, presenting works by local Chilean artists that portray the link between sports and art. Despite being characterized by competitive rivalry, sports, much like the world of artistic creation, connect people from a wealth of countries and cultures and encourage mutual respect and appreciation. This furthermore promotes understanding and tolerance.
